In June, the ITF Taekwon-Do European Championship was held in Sochi. With the sponsorship of IDBank, Armenia also took part in this championship, presenting two of its athletes - Aram Mkrtchyan and Martin Azatyan. Athletes participated in various activities - board breaking, special equipment and duels. Representative of Armenia, M. Azatyan, became the champion of the European Cup in the final matches of breaking boards and special equipment. In the final match in the weight category 63-70 kg, A. Mkrtchyan became the champion of the European Cup winning the Belarusian athlete, and M. Azatyan in the same weight category won the bronze medal.
